The Border to Border Air Show was this weekend at the Airport Park in Douglas, Arizona. It was a really windy day and there were more than our share of clouds, despite the weather lots of people turned out to see the show.
Some of the planes that were supposed to come and be on display were unable to make it due to the weather. This disappointed some folks but most people understand that the pilots do not need to risk life and limb for us.
There were some amazing stunts in the sky. Some planes flew upside down.Planes flew in tandem criss -crossing dangerously close to each other and making patterns with their colored smoke.

Robin Brekhus put this show together. It was the second annual event. She really puts herself out there for the community. At the airshow she even risked her own life and limb by standing on the runway to wait for a plane to land directly in front of her outstretched hand.
Robin manages the historic Gadsden Hotel here in Douglas. Check out her website and the historic hotel.
Here are some more pictures of planes and pilots.
